Is this still the typical investor?


There’s been several write ups on and ABC News recently based on an article that Maria Yanotti, Lecturer of Economics and Finance Tasmanian School of Business & Economics, University of Tasmania published in The Conversation.  According to the original article, this is your typical real estate investor – more likely to be male than female, more likely to be self-employed than owner occupiers, and more likely to be married.  (Perhaps that’s because behind every good man is an even better woman? Just saying…)

The data used to create this investor character is from the period 2003 – 2009.  Can this really be extrapolated to fit a very different economic situation over the period 2010 to date?  Read the full article here.
